In these unprecedented times we want to let you know what we are doing during this season where it is not possible to meet physically as a church.
We are so thankful that church is not about a building but a community of believers serving and helping one another. In the days and weeks to come we have to look towards a new season and with it the way we do things, our love for God, one another and those who don’t yet know Jesus.
Listening to current government advice and directive from Elim’s National Leadership Team, with prayerful consideration and with a desire to protect the vulnerable we have made the following decisions:
All church related activities within the Gateway Centre have been suspended until further notice.
SUNDAYS: We will not be meeting in person. We will be meeting on http://gatewaycornwall.online.church every Sunday at 10.30am for a live stream service. After the service you will be able to join us on ZOOM for virtual tea & coffee and fellowship. A recording of our service will be put on our Facebook pages at 5pm each Sunday. We plan to be online whilst it is streamed, as a way to engage and pray with each other in an online chat space.
LIFE GROUPS: Our Life Groups will continue to meet over ZOOM. Please contact you Life Group leader or ourselves and we will be able to help.
We want to be wise with best practice in containing and limiting the virus amongst us. Whilst we are aware of concerns around this pandemic, we are not led by a spirit of fear but love, power and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Many of us are finding the words of Psalm 91 a great reassurance and prayer to use.
Please Remember: If you are feeling unwell with a fever and persistent cough you are asked to self- isolate and any others in your household for 14 days. Let us know so we can pray and do what we can to help.
As Pastors and Leaders we have not been this way before. We love you. We want to keep pointing you to Jesus. We want to do all we can to protect, reach out and support. Jesus is the Good Shepherd. We trust in Him!
